Parkinson, Hart Attack, Aspirated Lungs, Blood From RT Secretion, On Cilanem 500, Done Heart Seizure. Suggestion?
my father is 82 years old. he had heart attack as doctors say while in hospital on 14th June and then during hospitalisation he had heart seizure. he is sufferring from Parkinson and is not able to swallow anything. This has resulted in lungs getting aspirated and today h is having trachestomy since 27 July. he is getting feed from RT tube and is totally bed ridden. in first week of Sept he was admitted to hospital again with blood coming with RT secretions. Doctor s gave him Cilanem 500 BD for 14 Days. He was adminstered same medicine for 11 day in July also. Now he is having increased levels of Urea(119) and Creatinin(1.8). His body weight has been reduced to about 36 Kg. he is also getting Enterogermin twice daily. Kindly advice how to proceed further.

In my opinion the further procedure is good nursing care, and no more investigations either invasive or non invasive, it is all the geriatric problems and this goes increasing as the time passes out, give him only extremely necessary medicine, take care of your father, bye
