On my job I was required to repair an existing concrete floor.The floor had a very uneven joint First I used a chipping hammer to remove a much of the high sections.then I applied a self leveling product called Tech2800 it was a floor leveler that set up in about 30 minutes it had Portland cement and silica paritcals and some type of epoxy.After this set up I used a Belt Sander to smooth the floor to put down floor tiles. The room was so dusty while doing this job you could barley see only in front of the sander.We did not have the MDS sheet on this peoduct! I worked at this type of work for a week 8 hours a day.I later passed out and was taken to the emergency room for help. Iwould eat and smoke in this room and drive home 2 hours home with the same clothes I was working in the was no place to take a shower!!The axrays tahen for the months 1and 2 showed no lung inflitrations month #3 started showing up some problem that were describe as now seen an area of 2cm The next month the axray said it had grown to 9cm with other items now noted in the axray reports. I received many different answers about what I had Wagners Glamotios reactive air ways disease,infectiuous lung disease.when we sandes rhese floor in was in the form of talcum powder very fine. My problem is they said no particals of silica showed up under polarizes light! how can this be they even took lung biopsys and no particles showed up under polarized light? could this dust be so fine and in the very bottom of my lungs that the only way It will be found in after an autopsy is done.I use o2 and now told I havePulmory Fibrosis and now I am under the care of HOSPICES!! How can there be no proof of the silicia it really has put a early end to my life where is the SILICIA?? Please help me with an answer thank you for any and all advice you can share with me or tell me were to find thes answer!!
