Pimple Like Redness On Chest And Back, Occasional Puss. History Of Acne. Is This The Sign Of An Illness?
Hi Doctors,
For the past months, I have noticed pimple like redness on my chest & back. I'm not sure if it's pustules or boils. At times I could see pus but it always leave a scar. Size varies but usually less than 0.7cm I have a history of acne on my lower back. I'm also a gay man and the last time I check - I'm HIV neg.
As you rightly pointed out the pimple like eruption over back and chest are part of acne (pimple) only. Acne also can occur in different grades. Some will have a mild acne. Some develop pustules and nodules. If you take appropriate treatment for acne it will reduce the intensity considerably. After 25 years of age, it will slowly wean. Sometimes application of certain creams or some oral medication also may exaggerate the problem. If you consult a dermatologist he/she will guide for the improvement of this problem. Get well soon.
