Popping Noise In Foot, Hurt, Immediate Pain In Ankle. What To Do ?
i hurt my foot in cheerleading today. i was doing a flip where i twisted in mid air and my foot caught the ground and twisted the wrong way. then i heard a popping noise. after that i tried to stand up and i felt immediate pain in my ankle. and now it hurts to put alot of pressure on it and stretch it. i have another cheer practice tomarrow. what should i do. i tried flipping while my foot hurt and it caused more pain.:/
It looks from your details that most probably yo may be having sprain at your ankle.You should at least have a x ray of foot to rule out any bony injury.Til then you should do rest.Apply a soft ace bandage from below upward on your leg from foot.Do cold fomentation with ice pack.
For relief of pain you may have a good analgesic like advil.
