Popping Sensation In Groin Area After A Side Split. Has It Caused An Irreversible Damage?
Hello. I'm 32 and I'm a considerably flexible martial artist, although, I was out of training for awhile and was lagging on my right side split. I basically went full extension into the ground, and heard a pop (flute/groin area) I'm slightly limping. I'm wondering what I should do, and if this happening causes irreversible damage.... Thank you, Pablo
It might be snapped tendon around your hip joint (groin area) You will need at least x-ray of the pelvis/hip and if it is normal then ultrasound scan will be recommended. Unless we find out the exact cause the injury we can not tell if it is going to cause long term problem for you or not.
Wish you speedy recovery
