Post Menopausal, Having Fluttering Feeling In Breast Bone, Dull Pain In Underarm, Back. Cause For Above Symptoms?

Hi, I'm post menopausal woman age 52. I've been having a fluttering feeling high on my breastbone with a dull pain radiating into my left underarm and into my back. I have not seen a doctor in two years as I have no medical insurance nor can I afford to see a doctor. I've been experiencing this for the last couple of weeks and it's getting progressively worse. I've been exercising regularly, losing 20 pounds over the past 4 months by dieting and walking. The symptoms happen while resting and while exercising so I'm not sure what it could be.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The fluttering sensation may be neuralgia (nerve related pain) or palpitations.

Neuralgia is pain caused by abnormal structure or function of a nerve. There are different causes such as diabetes, trauma, vitamin b12 deficiency, ms, alcohol use, exposure to toxins, side effect of medication.

Palpitations are abnormal heart rhythm , there may be a change in the rate or rhythm of the heart beat.
There are also a large number of causes for palpitations. Some of the causes include anemia, thyroid disease, side effect of medication, excess caffeine use, heart disease (for example enlarged heart), abnormal electrolytes.

The treatment would vary depending on the exact reason for the fluttering sensation.

This would require physical assessment by a doctor.

I hope this helps
