Predict Prognosis For Person Recovering From Medical Induced Coma

My father suffered a heart attack (66 year old male, normal weight) and his heart stopped beating for 18 minutes. Restarted wiht a debfib.. stopped again but restarted again. He is now coming out of a medical induced coma. Eyes are open but unresponsive and body is twitching. He is breathing on his own but with machine assistance. What do we expect ot happen from here? He has suffered 3 prior heart attacks and the angiagram shows there is considerable heart damage.

Hi there

see to be very true prognosis is poor. But never stop believing in hope because miracles happen.
as per the information provided Your father has major heart attack . After a single heart attack heart muscles got damage and start recovering very slowly after revascularisation. Considering your father has three MI and he is on ventilator for long time , he is going to recover slowly. But life expectancy will not be more , wish him Luck.

Good Luck
