Pregnant. Ultrasound Done, Fetal Pole Not Clearly Seen, No Free Fluid. Miscarriage?
Hello Doctor, I am 42 years. I have pregnancy, my LMP is 18.07.2012. I have got scan today shows a report of : Fetal pole not clearly seen. CRL measures 2.58 cm corresponding to 7 weeks 4 days of gestational age . No free fluid in pouch of Douglas. Is it a healthy pregnancy ? Is non-visibility of Fetal pole is meant to miscarriage ? Regards
Hi, Good Day. As per the report of the scan you have told here, the pregnancy age is of 7W 4D. Its an very early pregnancy and fetal poles may not be seen at this age. But it mentions the CRL of size 2.58 cm. And this a normal finding. No free fluid in pouch of Douglas is a normal finding. My suggestion is that you repeat scan after 2-3 weeks of the last scan so that things will be clear. Be in discussion with your gynaecologist and follow her / his advise. Relax. take care. Bye
