hello I am medha.I am running into 10th week of pregnancy..Yesterday I found I am anaemic as my haemoglobin is 8.5..I am quite worried about my baby;s growth how will it affect my baby's development as well as my health The major problem I face during these periods is loss of appetite and extreme hurtburn..When i concieved my weight was 55kg which now reduced to 53kg..
Welcome to Health care magic. It would be prudent to discover the cause of the anaemia, this may be secondary to iron deficiency or other causes like folic acid/Vitamin B12 deficiency.Microscopic blood loss secondary to acute gastritis and peptic/duodenal ulcers should be ruled out.It would help consult a dietician who can guide you regarding your diet.Use of antacids like Magaldrate are useful in managing serious heartburns,PPI s and H-1 blockers ,Sucralfate are other drugs commonly used to manage similar symptoms.
