Prescribed Fluoxetine. How To Take Half A Capsule?
MY DOCTOR HAD ME ON FLUOXETINE 40MG. HE WANTS ME TO TAKE HALF BUT THEY ARE CAPSULE FORM HOW DO I DO THIS? BECAUSE ONCE THIS IS OUT OF MY SYSTEM. HE PUT ME ON VENLAFAXINE ER 75MG. I AM VERY DEPRESSED.I AM MORE UPSET BECAUS EI HAD THYROID CANCER AND HAVE LUMP IN MY THROAT ALL THE TIME. THEY ARE SCHEDULING ME ON JUNE 5TH FOR A SCOPE TO SEE IF SCAR TISSUES ORIF THEY HAVE TO STRETCH/ SO SCARED.

you can not take half a capsule in any way, capsule have in inactive material shell outside, with the medication inside, now way it can be taken in half.
May be you need to check with the local pharmacy to see if the fluoxetine comes in tablet form for the required strength you need to take. In many countries it comes in both capsules and tablet form for the patients to decide which one suits them.
