Pressure On Throat, Popped, Hurts To Swallow, Difficulty Breathing. Treatment?
I was recently grappling with someone who applied a little too much pressure to my throat . I felt what sounded like a pop and now it hurts to swallow . I can still speak fine and I don t have difficulty breathing . Can you guide me on how I should proceed with treatment (e.g. cold/hot packs, ibuprofen , elevation, emergency room)?
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. May be injury to cartilage of trachea or pharynx depending upon the site of pressure exerted. In my opinion consult an E N T and get his opinion. Good luck. Dr. HET
