Hello,
Thanks for the post,
From your description you are likely suffering from a
peripheral polyneuropathy which is simply damage to the peripheral nerves which could be due to a good number of causes with the most probable being an autoimmune diseases such as pernicious anemia (
vitamin B12 deficiency which will possibly be ruled out given that you were on
vitamin b12 supplement already) etc. Acute polyneuropathy can have various causes, including infections, autoimmune reactions, toxins, certain drugs, and cancer, or even being idiopathic (or a disease entity in and of, itself, with no identifiable cause). Chronic polyneuropathy is often caused by diabetes mellitus or by the excessive use of alcohol (
alcoholic polyneuropathy), but a variety of other less common causes are known, including nutritional deficiencies, and liver or kidney failure.
You will need to have your primary care doctor get you evaluated, run some tests and maybe provide you with some treatment or refer you to a
neurologist who can look further into your condition.
Hope this helps
