Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I get a very painful, shocking and pricking behind my knee . The pain is intermitten and I don t know when it will strike. Iv e had X-rays, CT scans and an MRI . They found nothing. Running, exercise bring it on. When it occurs the only way to aleviate the pain is to lay on my back and raise my leg at the knee, instantly the shocking stops.
It looks to me that it is a nerve pain and it needs to be confirmed by EMG/NCV to see if there is any pinch nerve.I Would suggest you to discuss with a neurologist. Take pregabalin and Methylcobal tablet.
