Prolonged Chest Pain, Heart Attack Ruled Out, Heart Burn Medicines Not Effective. Due To Anxiety?
My Husband been has been having left chest pain for the last few months. He went to the hospital in May and they told him he was not having a heart attack and to follow up with this doctor. He did not check with his doctor. The pain has continued and about a week ago he had a calcium test at a heart hospital and they did even recommended anything because his level was 0. Today he came home from work with the same complaints and he thinks it is a heart attack but he only has the left chest pain. He has been paid heart burn meds for 10 days and still the pain continues. I think he is have a stress attack or anxiety but he doesn't agree. Is it possible to have a blood clot and how would you even tell.
His symptoms do not suggest Coronary Artery Disease (CAD). However, it is better to have a Treadmill Exercise Electrocardiogram (TMT). If it is normal, nothing to do – except to repeat annually. If in doubt, further work up is done.. X-ray chest and endoscopy may be necessary to assess lungs, stomach and so on... If negative, Psychological assessment and assistance will help.. Over The Counter (OTC) Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs (NSAID) / muscle relaxants / anxiolytics will be useful in the meanwhile...
Take care Wishing speedy recovery God bless Good luck
