My body odour has changed in the last few days, I think, I smell burnt hair. I have just stopped taking panadeine extra for back pain 5 days ago. I took between 4 and 8 per day and was on it for longer than suggested because it helped. I decided to stop taking it as I don't want to damage my liver and soon was suffering withdrawal from the codeine. I wonder if that could have something to do with it?

Hello, Welcome to HCM,
Body odor has to do with sweat. Sweat itself isn't smelly. It's the bacteria that naturally live on your skin that cause a smell by feeding on and breaking down the sweat you produce.
A diet rich in spicy foods, onions or garlic, for instance, can cause such odors to travel through the bloodstream and enter sweat glands and produces the smelly sweat.
Panadeine is a paracetamol, which is not known to cause change in body odor. If you body odor is changing frequently I would suggest you to consult your dermatologist for further opinion. Thank you.
