Reason For Having Stabbing Pain Below Breast, Back And Shoulder Blade

I have a hernia on my right side above my belly button. Don t know if this is related. I have been experiencing extreme stabbing pain in my right side up to under my right breast and into my back and shoulder blade. It lasts for 5 or more hours at a time. My side is painful to touch. It is so painful I cry and can hardly move or breath. It happens at different times of the day and I m pretty careful of what I eat.
