hi, I am 53 years old and am post menopausal. I had a period a couple of weeks ago, 14 months after my last one. I had a transvaginal ultrasound performed this week which has discovered that my endometrium is 0.54cms thick. Everything else is fine. I have been having ultrasound fat cavitation treatments for a couple of months now. Could that have altered my hormone levels to produce a period? Should I be concerned? My doctor has recommended I see a gynaecologist for further investigation. Would love some feedback on possible causes.
