Hello and welcome.
Thank you for your query.
I understand you have mentioned 'IBS' in your post. Let me take sometime to educate you on IBS, if you dont mind.
IBS has 2 further ailments under it, Crohn;s disease and Ulcerative collitis. Both of which have regular loose stools, watery and most often without any other accompanying symptoms.
Irritable bowel syndrome is when the bowel is irritated by certain types of foods, and in turn reacts by leading to an almost immediate, watery loose stool. This can be mainly avoided by avoiding the consumption of food items which can cause a flare up.
A few of the most common food items that can cause a flare-up are:
-Fatty and/or fried food
-Foods and drinks containing artificial sweeteners and sugar substitues
-Caffeine
-Alcohol
-Gas producing vegetables (beans, cabbage, etc)
-Dairy products (especially if you suffer from
lactose intolerance)
-Fruits (if you have
fructose intolerance)
Avoiding these foods that trigger a flare-up and recognizing which food item causes your individual flare-up is half the battle won.
In addition to this, we have drugs that can help control IBS, mostly anti-spasmodics. Visit your doctor for the best option, who can monitor and help you out.
I only suspect IBS to be the main cause of this as you mentioned that most drugs have not helped you. There is a possibility that this is IBS causing your symptoms and not an infection.
If you think you have tried all the above mentioned points, you could write back to us and we could think from another perspective. If you think what I have mentioned above is a possibility, please visit your doctor and discuss your options.
Wishing you good health.
Best wishes.
