Recovering From Pneumonia. On IV Avelox. Severe Headache, Fever And Back Pain. Normal CBC And CT Scan. Possible Viral Meningitis?

Hi...I have recently gotten over pneumonia . I was in the hospital Monday and put on IV avelox and told to continue that orally for the next 7 days. I went back in yesterday for terrible headache, fever, neck and back pain. A CT scan was dont and a cbc. Both of which came back normal. The doctor said viral meningitis was possible. Should I be concerned that it could be bacterial?

Meningitis is known but less common complication of Pneumonia. as you have recovered from Pneumonia. your CBC and CT scan are normal so you should be happy. your headache will respond to a dose of Parcetamol. You should take care of your diet and vitamin supplimentation if needed. You will be normal soon.
