Hi
Good that you have seen a
Pediatrician.
Chicken pox is a viral infection- first it starts as itchy red rash, then becomes a
blister, then crusts and heals. Usually more rash is seen on chest, back, face and scalp than on the limbs.
HFMD- is also a viral infection- presents with fever, sores in the mouth and then red rashes in palms, feet, buttocks etc- they may become blisters- but usually don`t cause itching. Its self limiting.
Pyoderma is a bacterial infection and presents with pus filled lesions or crusty lesions as in
impetigo. They need to be treated with antibiotics. They present with fever, crusty lesions will cause itching.
But without seeing the lesions- one can not conclude.
Your doctor would have arrived at the conclusion after examination of the lesions- Please follow his advice.
Wish your daughter- a speedy recovery.
