Red Dot, Reddish Eye. Got Hit On Eyes. Anything To Worry?
Hello ,
2 years kid of mine while i carried him hit my eye with kind of light weight rubber bat ,i didn't fel anything next day i saw a red dot on the eye on white part ,went to doctor(not eye specilist) and he gave eyedrop and tablets ,after 2 days now still i feel very little pain on the head behind the left eye.
anything need to worry ,my vision is clear i dont have any pain in the eye ,red dot still not healed complete ,somtimes eye become reddish and it will be clear.
sujjest me do i need to see eye surgeon ,what test will prove me safe suggest.

red dot on sclera suggestive of sub conjunctival hemorrhage, if you are able to move eye in all direction and your vision is clear then do not worry it is only due to rupture of small blood vessel of conjunctiva.
this red dot will automatically clears after some time with body healing mechanism.
it takes 15-20 days to resolve.
till that time you can take tablet limcee, and flur eye drop.
it hastens recovery, but it will take atleast 15-20 days

Subconjunctival hemorrhage is because of collection of blood under the conjunctiva in the subconjunctival space. It will resolve on its own but it will take 3-4 weeks.
Since your vision is clear no need to worry, you can wait for 3-4 weeks still the red dot clears.
