Reddish Circle On The White. Adjacent To Tear Duct. Burning Sensation. Reason?

I have a reddish circle on the white of my eye adjacent to the tear duct. It is about the size of a pencil eraser, appears to be almost perfectly circular and is more of a halo effect with the inner part of the circle almost the same shade as my normal white. I ve had some burning sensation lately, but not at the present time.

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello,

Redness of the white part of the eye without any discharge or watering or pain, is more likely to be either due to allergic conjunctivitis or due to dry eyes. You can try using lubricating eye drops for a few days and if the redness persists then it is better to consult an ophthalmologist for a closer look at the eyes.

Regards
