Reddish, Purple Prominent Large Vein Above Knee Cap During Pregnancy. Is It Varicose Vein?
a large vein on the front portion of my thigh suddenly looks more prominent and seems to be ending at a reddish, purple, varicose vein about an inch above my knee cap. i am now 29 weeks pregnant and also have a 2 year old son that i occasionally have to lift. i noticed this change in my thigh vein and the bruising (not painful) about 4 weeks ago.
