Regular Gagging Post Waking Up, Spit With Reddish Tinge To Saliva. What Could The Cause Be?

Good day. For the past few months now I gag every morning just upon awakening. This week for the first time now I spit after the gagging and noticed my saliva had a reddish colour to it. I haven t been to the doctor as I thought this might not be serious? The gagging goes on for about 5 minutes and then disappears. Through the day I feel fine but the next morning it will be the same thing. Any advice?

hi.. the condition can be most likely bacause of oral hygeine related to tongue and gum problems. when we don't scrap of the tongue properly, the papillae on the tongue gets enlarged, and gives a gag reflex when tongue scraps against the palate. Also, blood in the saliva can be most likely related to Gum problems because of tartar and plaque accumulation, expecially if you are not suffering from any persistent cough or fever.

the best treatment is first to start brushing twice a day, with use of a good mouthwash at night, followed by thorogh tongue cleansing with a scrapper. Also seek a dentist'd advie for oral scaling (Cleaning).

And i hope this will suffice.....
