Removed Uterus, Cervix. Pelvic Muscles Weak, Heavy. Walking Few Minutes Daily. Continue And Increase Duration?
I had a dv HHS on 2/22/13. Took uterus and cervix . I am 5 7 and weigh 123. My pelvic muscles still feel weak and heavy. I have been walking about 15 minutes a day since week two. Some slight hills. Am I ok? Are the walks bad for me ( pelvic floor collapse?). Can I continue the walks and increase the duration? I used to walk over a mile each day.
Hello Thanks for your query. You need to have an evaluation for the motor tone of the pelvic muscles. After months of surgery, the weakness should be gone. Ask your gynecologist to demonstrate Kegel's exercises for you to strengthen pelvic muscle tone. Also you can continue walking as long as prolapse is ruled out. take care.
