Ringing Sound In Ears, Difficulty In Sleeping. Taking Medication. Medicine Which Will Help In Getting Sleep?
I am 63 years old lady still working. I have ringing in my ears only for 1 week, but it is driving me crasy. I cannot sleep, only with sleeping pills or Lorasepam. My family doctor prescribed me cipralex 10mg for a month until I have an appointment with ear specialist. I had worst noise whole day after 1 time 5mg. Can cipralex increase ringing? Should I continue to take it. I was on cipralex prescribed by psychiaitrist for 2 years, almost two years back.

The ringing sensation in ear is called as TINNITUS. it may be due to infection in External, middle or inner ear. you have not mentioned regarding any associated symptoms. please do not make it a habit of taking sleeping pills regularly. consult your psychiatrist for continuation/enhancing the dosage of cipralex. After that consult ENT surgeon for help.
