Scan Report Showing Cystic Density In The Adnexa. Diagnosed With Acyesis And Ovarian Cyst. Treatment?
I just got a scan result stating- there is a cystic density noted in the right adnexa measuring about 32mm x 26mm in size. It is non septated and has well defind borders The left ovary measures about 33mm and 24mm in size. The pouch of douglas is free. The general uterine outline is consistent.
Conclusion; features are those of acyesis and right functional ovary cyst.
Acyesis is a term that is not widely used,it simply means the absence of pregnancy
The ultrasound also found a cyst in the right ovary. Cysts can be simple or complex. Your cyst was well defined, not septated (no inner walls dividing it). Your cyst is a simple cyst.
These cysts are not usually associated with any significant problems. They can sometimes cause pain in some cases. In some persons they may resolve on their own.
The treatment would depend on the symptoms that you are experiencing.
I hope this helps
