Scan Showed Short Cervix With Funneling Membranes. Does Bed Rest Help With An Incompetent Cervix ?
I am currently 20 weeks pregnant. At my 19 week scan with a maternal fetal medicine doctor I was told I had a short cervix (.05)-(1.05)cm. I was also told I had funneling membranes. My doctor gave me progesterone pills but told me she doesn't believe in bed rest. I and a lot of other women in my situation believe that keeping pressure off the cervix by being in bed could help. I need to know once and for all does bed rest help with an incompetent cervix?
