Scan Shows Hilar Lymph Node. Enlarged Lymph Node. Mediastinal Lymph Nodes Present. What Does It Mean?
I do not understand these results. Can you please help me. Subcentimeter short axis diameter hilar lymph node. In subcarnial region there is an area of some mildly hetergenous hypodensity measuring 2.5 x 1.7 cm. some appears to be fluid though some suggestion of and undelying enlarged lymph node in this position. other wise subcentermeter mediastinal lymph nodes present
Hi, welcome to HCM
subcentimetric lymph nodes means there is some infection in lung fields, but it is not significant. For any lymphnode to be significant it should be more than 1 cm.
It will be more helpful , if you can upload your complete report. Otherwise you should contact your radiologist , he/she will explain you in details.
Thanking you.
