Semen Analysis Active Form-60% Sluggish Form-25% Inactive Form-15% Total Sperm Count-132 Million/ml Pus Cells-2-3/hpf Rbc-0-1/hpf Epithelial Cell-nil/hpf Normal-80% Abnormal-20%. Is It Normal?
hi in semen analysis ,my husband s report seems to be normal.....but i hav 1 doubt......is it normal???????????reply me....below is the examined range motility: active form-60% sluggish form-25% inactive form-15% total sperm count-132 million/ml pus cells-2-3/hpf rbc-0-1/hpf epithelial cell-nil/hpf normal-80% abnormal-20%
In semen analysis, the sperm count is regarded as normal if it is greater than 20 million- your husband's result is 132 mill, so this is normal.
Motility refers to the movement of the sperm and this is normal if at least 50% of the sperm are regarded as motile- the report states that 60% are active which is normal
The report also states that 80% were normal, this may be referring to morphology which is the appearance of the sperm (whether they look normal or abnormal). A result of 80% normal is good.
I hope this helps
