Severe Anxiety Due To Retirement, Took Xanax. Is It Ok ?
I am a 59year old woman, about to retire from my teaching career after 40years, and while I looked forward to retirement throughout my life and have lots and lots of interests, I find that now that retirement is on my doorstep, I am suffering from severe anxiety at the prospect of no definite structure or purpose in the months/year and have had to resort to taking my first Xanax today just to calm myself. Im shocked thta I needed to resort to chemical help for what should be an exciting time in my life. AAAAA
Hi!. Thanks for your query to HCM. I feel whole life you had handles nicely without any chemical help. Why should you have to opt for chemical help. Its more phsychological feeling and with a bit of meditation and yoga you should be able to overcome this anxiety. Still you feel you may take Alprazolam 0.25 mg once a day in the morning and am sure will feel better. Wishing you a happy and peaceful Retired life.
