Severe Chest Tightness, High BP, Tiredness. Changed BP Medicines Month Back. Recommendations?
For three weeks now I have been waking up in the morning with severe chest tightness. One day it might be all over, the next day in the front then in the back. I thought I bruised my rib muscles until I started taking my blood pressure. It has been consistently 160 plus over 90 plus. Throughout the day I have the tightness in the lower right area of my rib cage. I have changed my blood pressure medicine several months ago and have not felt good ever since. Extremely tired in the afternoon, I have to take a nap. I am 61 years old and in good shape. I bike, kayak, and jog almost every day.

There is feeling of tightness in the chest and high blood pressure history.
Chest tightness may be due to allergy with added infection .
May be due to high blood pressure as exact reading is not available.
Consult a physician and get his opinion as well X ray chest and E K G for further evaluation .
