Severe Chills After C-section Childbirth. Why?
Yes, my wife just a had a our forth child a few days ago( c-section ) and she is having uncontrollable chills. I ve checked her temp a couple of times now and they are 100.2 and 100.9. We check-in with her doctor this morning and her vitals were normal. So this is the second time today that she has a high temp and uncontrollable chills. Help?

You have not mentioned in history exact post operatvie days.Generally speaking post operative fever with chills in a patient of LSCS could be due to No.1. infection of wound.No 2.Thrombophilitis of vein used for i/v fluids.No 3.UTI that is urinary tract infection.Fourth and final could be postpartum sepsis .
I would suggests you to get her examined by gynaecologist who may be able to discover exact cause of fever with chills in her.

There could be breast engorgement with milk, leading to infection.
Urinary tract infection due to decreased fluid intake could be a reason.
Retained products in the uterus, leading to fever is common.
Respiratory tract infections could be present.
You need to have a consultation with your gynaecologist at the earliest to know the exact cause of the condition.
High grade fever during puerperium and lactation is not a healthy condition.
