I am a 59 year old female and had severe inner ear infections which affected my hearing--a lot. About 25 years ago an ear Dr. in Kissimmee, FL examined my ears and told me that the bones in my right ear were decayed to to many infections. He performed a surgery where in removed the bones, flipped them over so the other side were now exposed. Sugery took about 3 years and was covered by insurane. Now, 25 years later, they have finally stopped working and because I imagine that my left ear has the same decay to the 3 bones, I am having a very hard time hearing,,,at all. I would like the same surgery done to my left ear rather than just getting a hearig aid--but the ear dr. I saw about 3 years ago didn't seem to know much about that surgery and was more worred about my nose having been broken years and giving me a "deviated septim" My question is, can the original surgery be done on my left ear? Thank you! Candyce Collins
