Severe Headaches In The Afternoon. What Is The Cause?

I have gotten head aches ever since I was very young. I am 24 now, and get them at least 3-4 times a week. It s mainly pain behind my eyes, top of my head, and at the base of my neck . Sometimes I have ice pick head aches or stabbing pains, but usually its a throbbing consistent pain. My face often hurts too, like my nose and sinus area. I almost always get a headache/ migraine when I work out. But I get them really whenever. they usually come around mid afternoon and can become so bad that I have to lie down and try not to throw up. Any idea what could be the problem?

Hi there, thanks for asking, this type of headaches are called migraine. If the frequency of the attacks are so high, it is better that you take a medication regularly. there are some medications which can prevent the attacks and most of them are safe. Beside that, you can take some medication whenever any attack is starting and it can prevent its progress. The doctor will examine you and will write the best medication upon your situation for you. Best wishes.
