ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Acute streptococcal pharyngitis should resolve in 7 - 10 days with proper medications. Along with antibiotics, do take a pain killer and use lozenges. Also, do not forget to gargle - if you have not been prescribed any gargle solution, add salt to warm water and gargle.

If is it extremely painful and the above methods do not help, do visit the doctor.

Regards,
Sreenivasan
