Sexual Intercourse During Periods, Spotting, No Periods. Normal For Periods To Stop Completely?
Hi, Im experiencing something odd. I and my husband was having sex when i was suppose to have my period. When he fingered me he noticed that there was blood and we think that it should be my period but it was only spotting. But we decided to continue and the next day I found that I am not bleeding anymore. Today is the fourth day and I still havent get my period yet. I am so concerned. Is it normal to have my period stopped completely or no??

Firstly what is your age? It is thought normally, that if there is stoppage of period, exclude pregnancy first . Then if age is higher then menopause canoe considered otherwise, irregular period may be a possibility. Wait for few days if period does not start normally, then consult with a gynaecologist .

Intercourse has nothing to do with stopping an ongoing period.
If you are 4days overdue , you should get a urine test for pregnancy which might have resulted from previous contacts with your husband.
The spotting which you had while performing the act can also result from minor abrasions of the genital mucosa or might be an indiaction that you would be having menses soon when the hormonal levels are such that it leads to withdrawal bleeding.
Menses can be delayed due to several reasons apart from pregnancy.
All you can do is to rule out that you are not pregnant. Incase you turn out to be negative , you can use progesterone tablets for withdrawal bleeding for which you need to consult a doctor personally.
