Sharp Pain And Swelling After Twisting Knee Can Be Sprain?
i twisted my left knee today when i bent down awkwardly. Had sharp pain under and just to the inside of my knee cap. when I tried to put weight on it, It felt like something was out of place. I stood there for about a minute and it went back to normal. no pain and i was able to walk fine. About 2 hours later it happened again. Same exact thing. Now there is some swelling/ puffyness just below and to the inside of my knee cap. I am Iceing and have it elevated. Does this sound like a sprain?
The symptoms are typical of sprain. As of now, you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief.
You can continue icepacks for faster recovery. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
