Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
You are most likely suffering from lower respiratory tract infection.
Presence of left rib cage pain along with shortness of breath suggest the diagnosis.
Acid reflux may cause persistent throat discomfort and cough but soreness in chest appears to be least related with acid reflux.
Alkaline phosphatase is an enzyme which is secreted by multiple organs in our body such as bone, placenta, liver, saliva.
Your alkaline phosphatase is normal.
You should consult with internal medicine specialist and should go for thorough check up.
You should also go for chest x ray and endoscopy for better diagnosis of your symptoms.
Take care,
Dr. Mayank Bhargava
