Shortness Of Breath. High Bp And Rheumatoid Arthritis. Advice?
I often get shortness of breath after a hot shower and have to sit down until I am back to normal. Also, my BP has been around 130-140/90 and I was wondering if HBP plays a role as to why this is happening. I am not on any HBP medication. I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis and I usually get this feeling when I have a flare up but now I am getting them at any given time.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hi and welcome to HCM
Shortness of breath and high BP could be due to cardiac causes. Proper evaluation by physician is required for diagnosis. For rheumatoid arthritis I would also like to give some advice to make the life better and to fight with these pains-
Do regular physiotherapy of joints. Hot fomentation to decrease the joint stiffness Hot bath of Epsom salts (magnesium sulphate)-Magnesium has both anti-inflammatory and anti- arthritic properties
I do hope that you have found something helpful and informative and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care.
