Should Clindamycin For Infection Be Discontinued Due To Abdomen Pain?

Hello my name is Ashley I'm taking clindamycin for infection and my upper abdomin hurts off and on. I have been taking it for 3 days called my doctor and he never replyed they just told me to make an appointment I just need to know if I should stop using the medication until I go to the doctor in the morning

dear, clindamycin is an antibiotics, it can cause gastric irritation & burning sensation. these are just side effect. for these you donot need to discontinue the antibiotic. On the other hand you should start taking an antacid before meals to avoid the pain. take care.
