Should I Be Concerned About Accidental Injection Of Air Instead Of Insulin During Pregnancy?
Hello, I have gestational diabetes and take insulin. Today i accidently injected myself with air at 22 units instead of the actual insulin. I inject into my lower abdomen as instructed by doctor. Should I be concerned about this. i am 30 weeks pregnant.
Usually, when air is injected, there would be local injury. If the site of injection is not turned blue or swollen, there is nothing to be worried about.
If there will any swelling noticed, I suggest to apply cold compresses to the site for a couple of days.
If you notice anything unusual, should consult with your physician for further evaluation.
