Should I Be Concerned For Abdominal Discomfort And Bloating With Spotting After Taking Plan B?
I am having bloating and strange abdominal discomfort after taking plan b a month ago or longer .. Could something be wrong? Also got the period after taking plan b. when I was supposed to have my normal on schedule period I was only spotting for two days or so. It's an uncomfortable feeling in my abdominal , always when I press on my belly certain spots between my hips it hurts slightly .what should I do? Should I be concerned?
Hello Thanks for writing to us with your health concern. What you have mentioned are classical side effects of Plan B. Spotting is common due to hormonal withdrawal effect. Also, the normal period can get preponed or postponed by a week, sometimes more The bloating and abdominal discomfort is also commonly experienced after taking emergency contraceptives. SO there is no cause for concern. However, generally boating and abdominal pains do not persist for a month after taking Plan B. You could be pre menstrual . If the symptoms persist, please see a gynecologist. Take care
