Should I See A Doctor After Hitting Head And Having Headache?

My son hit his head at school yesterday. There is a bump and he had a headache but no other immediate symptoms. He did have trouble sleeping last night. This morning he was his normal self. He played outside and did his normal stuff. When he went to walk the dog, he slipped and fell. He didn t his head but he did hit the ground About 10 Minutes later he said his head was killing him. I didn t think he had a concussion but now I m not so sure. He has gone to bed for the night. Should he see a doctor tomorrow even if he is his normal self?

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your son's symptoms and feel that he has suffered a mild head injury.

As of now, there is no need to take him to hospital or do CT scan of the head.

Please watch for symptoms such as vomiting, double vision, drowsiness, weakness of arm or legs, etc. If any of them develop, then, you can take him to a doctor.
