Should I Take Plan-B To Prevent Pregnancy When On Quasense And Doxycycline?
Last night, I engaged in unprotected sex. I am currently on Quasense birth control pill that I take at the exact same time daily. I am also on Doxycycline Hyclate 100mg twice a day. I know that Doxycyline can decrease the effectiveness of birth control pills. Should I also take Plan B to ensure I don t have an unexpected pregnancy?

Antibiotic use is known to decrease birth control efficacy of pills. So it is advised that barrier method should be used in addition to pills if antibiotics are to be taken (as long as the antibiotics are in use & for seven days afterwards).
However, if you have not used a back up method you may take Plan B within 72 hours of sex.
