Should Isotretinoin Sotret Be Discontinued In View Of Skin Worsening Symptoms?
hello...im having cystic acne n papular acne i am using isotretinion since 12 days and now my skin has become worse with greyish greenish patchs and flakes and dryness and its very painful with burning sensation and also iching and blood craks... should i discontinue isotretinion sotret...?
As per your query you have symptoms of cystic acne on face which is severest form of acne and it occurs when pore in your skin gets clogged, usually with dead skin cells. It could be due to hormonal change during puberty , androgen hormones stimulate more sebum to be produced and a greater amount of skin cells to proliferate. As you are taking Isotretinoin Sotret for that and that is not benefiting you much. I would suggest you to exfoliate gently once or twice a day with a salicylic acid-based exfoliant. Apply benzoyl peroxide cream or gel for killing the bacteria in the pore . Wash your face using a mild soap or cleanser and lukewarm water. I would suggest you to visit dermatologist once and get it examined. Doctor may prescribe oral antibiotics like clindamycin or Hormone Therapy. You can go for chemical peeling as well.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
