Should All Of Us Take Scabies Treatment Simultaneously If One Of Them In The Family Has Scabies?

My adult daughter who lives with me was diagnosed with Scabies. They say that all in the household should be treated simultaneously. Do we all need to go to the doctor in order to get the prescription cream? That seems extremely costly. Dr. visit plus $90 prescription.

Hello,
Ideally all of the people who stay in same house should get treated simultaneously (even those without any apparent discomfort). The reason behind this is that if any one person harbours scabies mite silently, he/she may spread it to others causing scabies all over again to everyone. This in long run may be even more costly than treating everyone for the first and the last time.
Also you should wash clothes, bed sheets of everyone together so that there will be no chance of recurrence if scabies.
