Should Child Be Taken To Hospital For Fever, Inability To Walk, Dizziness, Nausea, And Blurred Vision?
My son has a temp of 94.1 and cannot walk. He is very unbalanced when walking due to being dizzy. He has nausea and is throwing up. He is complaining that his vision is also blurry. Do I need to take him to the hospital. He went to the doctors yesterday and they told us he had an upper respiratory infection. He has been sick since Thursday of last week also.

Your history suggests that he has some Lesion in his brain (central nervous system. It is better to rule out this possibility consulting a pediatrician. AS your doctor has told if it is simple URTI it will pass off within 2-3 days. Hope this answer will serve your purpose. Please feel free to ask any more queries if required.
