Should I Be Concerned As My Son Is Having Back Pain Which Makes It Difficult To Move His Legs?

my 19 year old son was in pain last friday. it was a back pain and docs thought it may be a kidney stone. they ruled that out and said it is just sore muscles. but he has done nothing to aggravate the muscles. yesturday he is still in pain but know he cannot move his legs at times. any thoughts? they wont send him for an mri. they did a scan and an xray that is all.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The back pain that is causing a difficulty in moving the legs is a worrisome finding. It can be due to a nerve compression. An MRI scan is required for detecting the cause.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
