Should I Be Worried About The Night Sweats After Knee Replacement?
Hi, I am a 63 yr old male in good health. One week in recovery after a total knee replacement. I am having night sweats and some coughing with "squeaks". Am taking cipro, and Percocet with (tylenol). No problems with excessive swelling or drainage. Goin through physical rehab and no problems to my knowledge. My question, are the night sweats something to worry about?
There is no need to be worried about this. Night sweat is common after surgery due to mild fever. I would suggest you to continue to take medicines and wait till 3 to 4 days. If there is increase in temperature then you should see to doctor and get blood investigation like ESR, CRP and WBC. If any of the above investigation is positive then you can start antibiotics.
